This study aimed to investigatethe role of training in the implementationof precision agriculture in sustainable agricultural development, with an emphasis on the sustainability of water resources in the south of Kerman. The research method was descriptive-survey and correlational design. In terms of purpose, the study is classified as applied research. The study areaincluded the counties of Jiroft, Kahnuj, Anbarabad, Manoujan, Roodbar, Faryab, and Qaleh Ganj, and the statistical population consisted of farmers in these areas. Considering the unlimited nature of the population, the sample size was determined as 384 individuals based on the Krejcie and Morgan table. The data collection tool was a questionnaire. The findings indicated that training in the application of precision agriculture has a positive and significant effect on sustainable agricultural development, with an emphasis on the sustainability of water resources in southern Kerman. Furthermore, a positive and significant relationship was observed among the various dimensions of precision agriculture training (economic, managerial, technical, cultural, social, educational-extension, and policy-making). Regression analysis results showed that the variable of training in the application of precision agriculture predicts approximately 97% of the variance in sustainable agricultural development, with an emphasis on water resource sustainability. Furthermore, the various dimensions of precision agriculture training collectively explain about 98% of the variance in sustainable agricultural development. Among these dimensions, the managerial component, with a beta coefficient of 0.512, contributes the most to predicting predicting sustainable agricultural development, emphasizing the sustainability of water resources in southern Kerman.
